Initial management often includes stabilizing the patient's airway, breathing, and circulation. Advanced imaging, such as a CT scan or MRI, may be used to identify the cause of brain injury. Treatment may involve reducing intracranial pressure, using medications like diuretics, corticosteroids, or surgical intervention to relieve pressure or remove a hematoma.
